*HYMN ‘Gather Us In’ No. 284
CALL TO WORSHIP
One: Come, you who hunger to take the bread of life! Come, you who
thirst for living water!
ALL: Come, you who hunger for justice and peace, and you who thirst
for God’s kin-dom to drop like rain upon the world:
One: come, let us journey together as a community of faith, come, let us
worship God.

HYMN ‘Spirit of the Living God’ No. 259
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Melt me, mold me, fill me, use me.
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
A PRAYER FOR THE CHILDREN
SINGING THE CHILDREN OUT ‘I’ve Got Peace Like a River’
I’ve got peace like a river, I’ve got peace like a river, I’ve got peace like a
river in my heart. (repeat)
PRAYER OF RECONCILIATION
God of all creation, God of the universe, of the stars in the sky,
Of the grains of sand on the beach, we marvel at the wonder of all you
have created and we marvel at our place in all of that. You, Lord of all,
care for us.
Lord, we confess that too often we do not pause to realize your
majesty. We move through life with a sense of entitlement yet we are
nothing without you. You created all and gifted your creation to our
safe keeping.
Forgive us and call us back, time and again, to gratitude and praise
for all that you are and all you created us to be and, as we recognize
how blessed we are, may we share that blessing with others in honor
of you. Amen.
KYRIE ‘All People That On Earth Do Dwell’ vs 2 No.18
Know that there is one God, in-deed, who fashions us without our aid, who
claims us, gives us all we need, whose tender care will never fade.

*WORDS OF ASSURANCE
*RECEIVING AND SHARING GOD’S LOVE
(by handshake, embrace, or with hands folded)
The peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you.
*GLORIA ‘All People That On Earth Do Dwell’ vs 4 No.18
Proclaim again that God is good, whose mercy is forever sure, whose truth
at all times firmly stood, and shall from age to age endure.

ANTHEM ‘Amen, So Be It’ Natalie Sleeth
Amen, so be it, Lord! We were created to love one another, Treat
everybody just like a sister or a brother. Amen, so be it, Lord! My Lord, we
were put here on earth to reflect Thy great glory, telling forever to one and
all the wonderful story. Amen, so be it, Lord!

SECOND READING John 6:41-51
HOMILY Rev. Patricia Hayes

HYMN ‘Because He Lives’ No. 562
MORNING PRAYERS
THE LORD’S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy
name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, as we
forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the
glory forever. Amen.
OFFERINGS OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD
OFFERTORY ‘I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say’ Lloyd Larson
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come now and follow me. Lay down your
earthly cares,” he said, “and I will set you free.” I came to Jesus as I was; I
had no gifts to bring. He took my stubborn will, my pride and taught my
heart to sing!
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Behold, I freely give the living water;
thirsty one, come now and drink, and live.” I came to Jesus, and I drank of
that lifegiving stream; My thirst was quenched, my soul revived, and now I
live for him.
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “I am this dark world’s light; Look unto me,
your morn shall rise, and all your day be bright.” I looked to Jesus, and I
found in him my star, my sun; And in that light of life I’ll walk till trav’ling
days are done.

*DOXOLOGY ‘Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow’ No. 48
Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise Christ, all creatures here
below; praise Holy Spirit, ever-more; one God, triune, whom we adore.
Amen.
*PRAYER OF DEDICATION
