On Friday, June 14th, 2019, Pride roofing installed a new roof at Christ Congregational Church UCC.
The people started showing up at about 6:50AM, and by 7:30am there were 52 workers on site.
Ladders and tarps went up quickly, and they started stripping the roof of the old shingles. The stripping of the old shingles took less than two hours.
Next came six feet of ice and water shield, and Dek armor installed to the ridge. Again, done in about two hours.
Next came the installation of CertainTeed Shingles. This process took the rest of the day.
Everything went off without a hitch and the entire church was re-shingled by dusk. It was a very exciting day for all of us that were able to witness this event.
Kudos go to the site supervisors, Tim, Louis, and John. They ran the crews as if the crews were a well-oiled machine. There were people with nail guns, people lugging shingles, and people on the ground continuously picking up debris. An incredibly well choreographed show.
