Neighboring Faiths Our 7th and 8th graders are exploring an exciting new program this year, called Neighboring Faiths.  Throughout the year, they will learn about and visit different local faith communities.  The benefits of this program are multiple.  Not only does it make our junior high students more knowledgeable young adults, but it also helps them come to a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Christian in the United Church of Christ, and primes them for a deeper exploration of their own faith in Confirmation class.

Teens who are in high school are encouraged to participate in a two-year program that is designed to “confirm” their faith.  Usually 9th and 10th graders participate, although older teens are welcome.  The confirmands attend church every week, and gather for class at 8:00 am most Sundays. Additionally, they go on spiritual retreats, have fellowship events, meet with the Deacons, work at projects around the church and community, and participate in worship services.  Second year students are confirmed and join the church on Pentecost, the fiftieth day after Easter Sunday.
